The Casting Room: Audition Workshop

The Casting Room: Audition Workshop is a weekly live online audition workshop led by working casting directors. A 4-class pass costs $259, or $79 for a single class. It meets Sundays 5–7pm PT and is capped at 15 students. The next class is Sun, Nov 8.

What you’ll do

The Casting Room is a two-hour live online workshop led by a working casting director. It's for actors who want to know what happens on the other side of the audition, and how to give casting what it's looking for.

The first part covers how casting works: how roles are broken down, what casting directors look for in the first ten seconds, how self-tapes are reviewed, and the most common mistakes that cost actors callbacks.

Then you work. Each actor reads sides in the session and gets direct notes on their choices, their preparation and how they come across on camera. You'll also get feedback on your headshot, résumé and self-tape setup, so everything you send looks professional.

Places are limited so everyone reads at least once.
